SOLUTION: This device is provided with an array control part 5 for writing and reading prescribed data for a disk, and for operating the arithmetic processing of the data, and this array control part 5 is provided with a data dividing part 7 for dividing the prescribed data into at least two, and for generating parity data based on the prescribed data, plural cache modules 9, 10, and 11 for temporarily storing each divided data and parity data, and a data synthesizing part 8 for, when one of those cache modules breaks down, correcting the divided data stored in the defective cache module by using the residual divided data and the parity data, and for synthesizing the divided data.
