PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing highly pure raffinate (a 4C- hydrocarbon mixture) containing little amount of isobutene, suitable for inexpensively producing 1-butene and preferable for producing methyl-t-butyl ether(MTBE) having solvent quality. SOLUTION: The 4C-hydrocarbon mixture 6 is produced by converting isobutene-1 and methanol 2 to methyl-t-butyl ether in a reactor 3 in a first process, subsequently reacting isobutene remaining in the mixture 4 with an acidic ion-exchanging resin 5a in a distillation column 5 of the reactor in a second process.
