PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dust collecting equipment capable of collecting dust emitted from a ladle even in the course of conveyance by an overhead traveling crane or in a steel manufacturing operation.;SOLUTION: The dust collecting equipment comprises a hook block 5 for hanging up the ladle which is hung down by a wire rope from a crane hoist 3 provided on a trolley 2 of the overhead traveling crane 1, a dust collector 8 provided on the trolley 2, a fixed duct 9 connected to the dust collector and extended along the lower side of the trolley, a dust collecting cover 11 so shaped as to cover the upper side of the ladle hung down by the hook block 5 and an extensible-contractible duct 15 connected between the fixed duct 9 and the dust collecting cover 11. The dust collecting cover 11 is composed of an upper end frame 12 fixed to the hook block 5 and of a tubular and extensible- contractible lateral cover 13 fitted to the upper end frame 12 downward therefrom, and a first rope winder 25 extending and contracting the lateral cover 13 is provided on the upper end frame 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
