The invention is characterised in that the base plate (7) is connected to the mould carrier plate (8) by a concave bearing (9) and is pretensioned in relation to the mould carrier plate (8) by means of pretensioning elements (15), in such a way that a gap (dw) is formed between the base plate (7) and the mould carrier plate (8) outside the concave bearing (9) and in that the pretensioning elements (15) are positioned at an angle to the axis of symmetry (13) of the clamping unit in such a way that the pressure surfaces (25) on which the pretensioning elements act and the bearing surface (33) of the concave bearing (9) essentially lie on parallel concave parts, preferably on the same concave part. The main advantage of the invention is the maintenance of a largely constant pretensioning force, even if tilting occurs.
