PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective method for an energy storing device, especially for energy storing device having an electric double-layer capacitor as the energy storing means.;SOLUTION: The energy storing device includes an energy storing means 1, a DC/DC converter 2 for controlling the charging/discharging of a current for the energy storing means 1. A terminal voltage of the energy storing means 1 is detected by a voltage detector 4. When the detected voltage is over a setting level, the charging current of the energy storing means 1 from the DC/DC converter 2 is controlled so that an overvoltage of the energy storing means 1 is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
