PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength mixer for mixing operation especially designed so as to bond an additional material to the surfaces of base particles, more particularly, an improved mixing tool generating surface modification in electrophotography and related toner particles.;SOLUTION: The mixing tool 50 is equipped with a shank 51 having riser members 52 and 53 at the respective end parts thereof. An angle of 10-16° is applied to the riser members with respect to the axis of the shank. That is, the riser members are inclined.
