PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit a new ride and safely and smoothly convey a user already on a tread and in the midst of movement to an exit when a safety device is actuated, in a moving walkway where pluralities of circulating belts and moving handrails are continuously arranged.;SOLUTION: When a safety device related to either of the circulating belts 1a to 1k or of the moving handrails 2a to 2g is actuated, control is triggered so that circulating belts and moving handrails are operationally stopped in a section related to the safety device actuation and in those before it in an operating direction, and warning means 4a and 4b are actuated to prohibit a new ride, and that circulating belts and moving handrails after the safety device actuation related section in the operating direction are kept unstopped and operated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
