PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To (1) fully utilize fourth plucked tea leaves having scarcely been utilized so far despite its richness in health promoting ingredients, (2) enable intake of all of the health promoting ingredients in the tea leaves by directly eating them, and in particular, (3) determine the active temperature of composite polysaccharides existing in the tea leaves and having hypoglycemic activity and enabling the composite polysaccharides to be taken effectively as well.;SOLUTION: This method for producing fourth plucked tea powder comprises pulverizing fourth tea leaves at 40C into fine powder 10 m in particle size. Fourth plucked tea powder tablets are obtained by compressing the fine powder at 40C into tablets. A fourth tea drink is obtained by suspending the fourth plucked tea powder into water at 40C. Related health promoting powder, tablets, drink are obtained by incorporating the fourth plucked tea leaves with Houttuynia cordata, oolong tea leaves and/or perilla followed by processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
