PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic interpreting system enabling a user to simply select a next speaking candidate by facilitating selection of frequently used routine conversation reflecting the liking and attribute of the user in some definite scene where the user speaks in another language. SOLUTION: An input part 1 analyses inputted information, an interactive processing part 3 supplies an analysis result from the input part 1 to an example retrieval part 4 and determines whether to supply the analysis result from the input part 1 to a translation part 5 or to an output part 2 according to an example retrieving result supplied from the example retrieval part 4. The example retrieval part 4 retrieves an example from an example corpus 6 and a sample interactive model 7 by using the result of input analysis. As the result of outputting the content of the result of example retrieval through an output part 2, the interactive processing part 3 receives the selection of the user on whether to use the next speaking candidate and when using is selected, the part 4 supplies the sample translation example of the selected next speaking candidate to the output part 2.
