An integrated fuel filter and fuel pump assembly (20) includes a fuel filter housing (23) and a fuel filter placed within the fuel filter housing. The fuel filter housing includes an outer surface with a connection interface for a fuel pump (22). This connection interface includes a flow inlet for fuel. The fuel pump which completes the integrated assembly includes a fuel inlet and a fuel exit which is directly connected to the flow inlet of the housing.
