An opto-electronic data carrier, especially a compact disk (CD) digital versatile disk (DVD) etc has a transponder (21) and/or a transponder antenna (5). The transponder (21) and/or the transponder antenna (5) can be mounted asymmetrically or symmetrically to a center of the data carrier with a given ratio of overlapping of an applied or mounted reflection layer and the non-reflecting regions on at least one surface of the data carrier (1). ??Independent claims are given for ??(1) a RFID-transponder with transponder antenna, ??(2) an antenna, ??(3) an electronic RF device security label and ??(4) a method for applying at least one transponder and /or a transponder antenna to an opto-electronic data carrier.
