PURPOSE: Provided is a simple preparation method of brookite TiO2 nanoparticles by regulating the concentration of HCl in a titanium solution and forming precipitates at low temperature. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of brookite nanoparticle TiO2(50-100nm) comprises the steps of: preparing a titanium solution containing 1.0-8.0M of HCl by dropping 0.001-12.0M of HCl to TiCl4 to get a titanium stock solution, and adding aqueous HCl and distilled water; standing the solution at 30-80deg.C, preferably 50-70deg.C, to form precipitates; collecting precipitates and adjusting the pH of the solution between 2-8 with an alkali solution, non metal hydroxide solution such as NaOH, KOH or NH4OH; collecting precipitates from the solution; washing formed precipitates with water to remove remained bases; drying formed precipitates at room temperature or 40deg.C for 48hrs.
