Sealing method uses a multi-component sealing material, the individual components of the sealing material stored separately in respective deformable supply containers (1), with controlled emptying of the latter for delivery, mixing and compression of the sealing material components. Supply containers are received in common or separately by a rigid pressure cell (2) to which a pressurized gas or liquid is delivered, for compression of the supply containers. An Independent claim for a packer for sealing a pipeline is also included.
