A plaster for releasing an active substance into the skin makes use of an adduct of a molecular sieve and the active substance, this adduct also containing a less than normal amount water of crystallisation whose amount is increased on release of the active substance. A plaster having a membrane cover (2) and a membrane (3) of a skin-compatible matrix (4) containing a molecular sieve adduct (5) releasing an active substance (Z, Z1, Z2) on contacting perspiration from the skin (6) is such that the adduct (5) also contains a less than normal amount of water of crystallisation so that on contact with the skin there occurs adsorption of water and desorption of the active substance with the amount of water of crystallisation in the molecular sieve being increased. Also included is an INDEPENDENT CLAIM for production of the plaster which involves: (i) partially dehydrating the molecular sieve at 300-500 (especially 400-450) [deg] C for several (especially 2-6) hours; (ii) loading the sieve with the active substance to form an adduct; and (iii) mixing the adduct (5) with the matrix (3) and then applying the membrane cover (2). - ACTIVITY : Dermatological. - MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
