The invention concerns a device for hanging (1) posters (2) consisting of means fixing (3) the poster (2), of means for adjusting the height (4) of said fixing means (3) and a telescopic rod (5) for raising or lowering said fixing means (3). The invention is characterised in that the height adjusting means (4) is removably fixed at a variable height to a beam (6) via two cables (7; 31) whereof one of the ends of each cable is fixed to the adjusting means (4) and the opposite end encloses the beam (6) prior to being secured over the length of the cable by a snap hook (8, 36) so as to lock said height adjusting means.
