STRESS MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR MICROTOME AND SAMPLE DETERMINING DEVICE FOR MICROTOME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress measuring instrument for microtome for correctly transmitting energy to a high-sensitivity force converter even if a change in stress is slight in cutting on an interface between minute substance mixtures or thin layer bodies, and to provide a sample determining device for microtome.;SOLUTION: An attachment member is provided on an attachment base for attaching a sample thereto. A stress conversion means is attached to the attachment member to convert stress produced in cutting the sample into strain. A sample holder allowing the sample to be attached thereto/detached therefrom is provided on an end part of the attachment member. Apart from the attachment base, a cutting blade is fixed thereto for cutting the sample. When the sample is vertically moved to make contact with the fixed blade, force generated on the sample can be precisely detected by the conversion means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
