The invention refers to the installations for wind-to-mechanical energy conversion that can be used for electric power production.The sail-type windmill contains two masts (1), two flywheels (2), coupled by belt transmission with pulleys (11), mounted onto the power take-off shafts (12), sprockets (5) onto live axles (4) and sprockets (6) onto fixed axles (3), joined between them by chain (7). Onto the live axles there are fixed bars (8), between which there are stretched sails (9) armoured with pull ropes (10).Fig/: 2
