The invention relates to a mechanism for driving flap doors, such as the garage doors. According to the invention, the flap door driving mechanism comprises two lower levers (2) hinged to the door frame (3) by a bolt (4) and having the role of supporting the door (1), said mechanism being also provided at its lower side with two upper levers (5) having a first pair of rotation couples (6) connected to region (3) by means of some supporting arms (7), and a second pair of rotation couples (8) attached to the door (1) so that the upper levers (5) lock the door (1) in the open position, when they pass beyond the vertical position.
