An aerosol device (I) comprises a recipient containing an aerosol composition (II) comprising a liquid phase containing at least one fixing material (III) in an appropriate solvent and a propellant and a means of distributing (II). (III) has a glass transition temperature Tg 50 degrees C and contains 1 polymer with vinyl lactam moieties (IV), and (I) has a wetting capacity 50 mg/s. Also claimed is a method of treating keratinous fibres comprising the application of (III) using (I).
