A stencil printing method utilizing a stencil paper subjected to plate making and consisting of a laminate of a thermoplastic film and a porous support, in which a plurality of types of stencil paper are used and stencil printing is performed with a stabilized density even when the porous support of the plurality of types of stencil paper has different porosities. Information indicative of the porosity of the porous support of the stencil paper M is stored in a storage means (70) provided in a stencil paper roll (21b), that information is acquired by a support type acquiring means (65) and a print pressure control means (66) controls print pressure by driving a print pressure regulating motor (124) depending on the porosity of the porous support.
