Radiation-sensitive element, comprising(a) one or more kinds of monomers with in each case at least one ethylenically unsaturated group consisting of a free radical polymerization is accessible,(b) at least one sensitizer,(c) at least a co.sub.2 - initiator, which together with the sensitizer (b) can form free radicals and is selected from the following classes of compounds:Metallocenes; - 1,3,5 triazine derivative having one to three cx₃ Groups, wherein x is chlorine or bromine; peroxides; hexaarylbiimidazoles; oxime ethers; oxime esters; n - aryl glycines, and derivatives thereof; thiol compounds; n - aryl -, s - aryl - and o - aryl - polycarboxylic acids having at least 2 carboxyl groups, of which at least one of the n -, s - or o - atom is bonded the aryl unit; alkyl triaryl borates; benzoin ethers; benzoin esters; thrihalogenmethylarylsulfonen; amines; n, n - dialkylamino benzoic acid esters; aromatic sulfonyl halides; tri-halo methyl sulphones; imides; the diazotisation sulfo axes; 9,10 - dihydropyridines of anthracene derivatives; α - hydroxy - and α - amino - acetophenones; and(d) optionally one or more components selected from alkali - soluble binders, colorants, exposure indicators, plasticizers, chain transfer agents, leuco dye substances, surface-active agents, inorganic fillers and thermal polymerization inhibitors,characterized in that the at least one sensitizer is a oxazole - derivative of formula (i) are: where r¹, R² and r³ ..
