The pipe cleaning system has a cleaning body operated by a drive (5) introduced into the feed pipeline (2,3) at an insertion station (1), with a safety device for blocking the movement of the cleaning body by the drive during its insertion and removal provided by a switch element (8) and a cooperating switching device (10), allowing movement of an insertion chamber via the drive normally used for the cleaning body. An independent claim for a pump coupled to a feed pipeline provided with a pipe cleaning system is also included.
