PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly recognize an error occurrence condition in the host device side when the error occurs in a printer device.;SOLUTION: The printer device receives print data prepared by the host device and forms an image on a recording material. When some error occurs during processing from reception of print data transmitted from the host device to image formation and an error detection means detects the error, an error information transmission means transmits error information to the host device. The error information reception means of the host device receives the error information, an error information display control means displays reception of the error information on a display means, and the display means displays the received error information in response to prescribed input from an information input means.
