PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retreat prevention system for a fuel-battery driven vehicle in ramp starting that allows start moving without causing the retreat of the vehicle, in the ramp starting in which the vehicle is forced to retreat by the torque of a traveling motor alone. PSOLUTION: The traveling motor 11 drives a drive shaft 14 through a gear 13. An air-compressing motor 3 drives an air compressor 4 and feeds compressed air to a fuel battery 2. When the vehicle starts in a state that a gradient detection mechanism 16 detects a rising gradient, a controller 6 is connected to an assist torque transmission clutch 17, and transmits part of the output torque of the air-compressing motor 3 to the drive shaft 14.
