PURPOSE: A head device of a ram-type machining center mounted with a serial connection spindle motor is provided to use a flange-type motor and secure a serial connection drive method for a spindle by excluding an expensive embedded motor generally used for the machining center. CONSTITUTION: A head device(100) of a ram-type machining center with a head(20) embedding a spindle(10) to the front along the direction of an axial line is composed of a partition(31) fixed to the center of the head; a serial connection-type motor(40) axial-combined with a driving shaft(41) with interposing the partition between the motor and the driving shaft for the rear of the spindle; a bracket(32) of which the front side corresponds and contacts to the rear side of the partition, combined with the serial connection-type motor at the rear side and installed to the head at the position corresponding to the partition; a combining bolt coupled to the bracket to integrally fix the serial connection-type motor; and an adjusting bolt(31a) combined to the partition to change positions of a flange and the bracket integrally combined for the partition and to adjust the central axis of the driving shaft for the spindle. The adjusting bolt presses the front side of the bracket with moving along the axial direction.
