Light transparent components for selectively shielding/masking angular zones, consists of at least one first (30) and second (31) surface-forming linear structure with triangular, prismatically formed surfaces. At least one first (30) and second (31) surface-formed structures are provided with one-sided linear prismatically structured surface and are mutually assigned such that the plane of surfaces lie mutually parallel to one another and a layer (32) is arranged between the first- and second-surface shaped structure with a light refractive index (n), which differs from the light refractive index (N) of the surface shaped structures. An independent claim is included for application of a light transparent component.
