PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of attaining tracking AF with high accuracy by setting photographing conditions so as to suppress production of factors affecting the tracking function and to provide a photographing sensitivity control method and a shutter speed control method therefor.;SOLUTION: The camera including imaging means (11, 12, 13) for photographing an object image and a tracking means (53) for tracking a position of an object moved within an image on the basis of an image output of the imaging means and having at least a fixing mode wherein a focusing area is made constant and a tracking mode wherein the focusing area is moved in matching with the tracking by the tracking means, is provided with: an AF means (59) for adjusting the focal point of the imaging means according to a mode selected from the fixing mode and the tracking mode; and a sensitivity control means (52) for controlling the photographing sensitivity of the imaging means within a prescribed range, and the sensitivity control means sets an upper limit of the photographing sensitivity when the tracking mode is selected lower than an upper limit of the photographing sensitivity when the fixing mode is selected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
