PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing device, a radiation image photographing system, a detecting sensitivity control method of the irradiation start of radiation and a program capable of preventing the erroneous detection of the irradiation start of radiation while suppressing power consumption in an irradiation standby state.SOLUTION: Detection means detects the irradiation start of radiation to be applied in the case of photographing a radiation image. Derivation means derives an irradiation dose in a predetermined period of radiation on the basis of input information. Control means controls the detection means to decrease the detecting sensitivity of the irradiation start of radiation such that power supply amounts to the detection means are made smaller according as the irradiation dose of radiation derived by the derivation means is large. Photographing means photographs the radiation image after the irradiation start of irradiation is detected by the detection means.
