PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility that identification information is not given to a photographed image or is erroneously given to the photographed image, and to suppress a situation where it is impossible to retrieve a stored photographed image.SOLUTION: An inspection instruction is obtained. It is determined whether the inspection instruction includes identification information for identifying a radiation image photographed in accordance with the inspection instruction. When the identification information is not included, the identification information is obtained. A radiation image photographing device is controlled to photograph a radiation image of a subject in accordance with the inspection instruction, thereby obtaining the photographed radiation image. When the identification information is included, the obtained radiation image is stored in an image management system, which is connected to the radiation image photographing device, while being associated with the identification information included in the obtained inspection instruction. When the identification information is not included, the obtained radiation image is stored in the image management system while being associated with the obtained identification information.
