A method for manufacturing the carbon nanotube-containing thin film is also provided which comprises centrifuging a mixed liquid containing the soluble polyphenylene vinylene substitution product or a copolymer of such products or the soluble polythiophene substitution product and carbon nanotubes, and casting the resulting supernatant liquid on a substrate to form a film.
