ALDOSE REDUCTASE INHIBITOR, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALDOSE REDUCTASE INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aldose reductase inhibitor or the like for preventing or treating nervous disorder complicated with diabetes.;SOLUTION: The aldose reductase inhibitor highly safe to a human body is simply obtained by pulverizing a trunk or a branch of a tree of a gymnosperm (a needle-leaved tree), and extracting an essence with water or ethanol. A tree from which the extracted essence having 16 ppm active ingredient concentration at 50% rate of aldose reductase inhibition can be extracted is preferable as the tree. The water, an organic solvent such as a lower alcohol and ethyl acetate, or the like, can be used as an extracting liquid, and especially the water and/or the ethanol is preferably used because the water and the ethanol is highly safe to the human body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
