PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately, precisely and simply measuring the average primary particle size, particle size distribution, and flocculated particle size of an organic pigment.;SOLUTION: This method has a process A of measuring a small angle X-ray scattering profile (measured scattering profile) of the organic pigment, based on a small angle X-ray scattering method, a process B of finding a theoretical scattering profile by simulation, based on the value of a tentative radius R and a tentative particle size distribution, assuming that the organic pigment is a spherical particle of the radius R and has dispersion in the particle size distribution, and a process C of determining the average primary particle size and the particle size distribution of the organic pigment, by making the theoretical scattering profile curve-fit the measured scattering profile.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
