PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet medium (bead) stirring mill which enables the use of a minute medium with the diameter of 0.01-0.10 mm, and further, enables a stable operation without any leakage of the medium (bead) from the mill even if the minute medium with the diameter of 0.01-0.10 mm is used, considering that a large dispersion effect can be obtained when the minute medium is used, and further, that the smaller the medium (bead) to be used is, the more finely a mill base which is a crushed material can be dispersed.;SOLUTION: A notch wire screen 6 is mounted inside the stirring mill 2, as a means separating the mill base which is the crushed material from the medium 4, to separate the mill base which is the crushed material from the minute medium 4 with the diameter of 0.01-0.10 mm. Only the mill base stirred and dispersed in the stirring mill 2 is picked up at an outlet 5 side of the stirring mill 2 through an annular space 3a in a milling chamber 3 so as to produce no leakage of the minute medium 4 from the stirring mill 2. The large dispersion effect can be obtained by the use of the minute medium 4 with the diameter of 0.01-0.10 mm, and an advanced dispersion which has been impossible in the conventional stirring mills becomes possible.
