PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressing device consisting of a frame which can be layered and suitable for cooking and shaping a loaf of ham so that the section of the ham is oval. ;SOLUTION: The frame of this device has a pair of lateral side parts 1, a pair of longitudinal side parts 2, an interposing member 4 extending between the longitudinal side parts 2, and plural grooves 3 fixed and extending between the lateral side parts 1. A lid 9 consisting of a longitudinal board 9a, two vertical end boards 11 and two longitudinal end parts 10 is vertically attached at lateral side parts 1 under each groove 3. The end boards 11 of the lid 9 are attached slidably to the lateral side parts 1, and each end board 11 has a protrusion 14 in the longitudinal direction toward a vertical hole 15 formed on the lateral side part 1.
