Quarter turn valve with lockable operating handle for opening/closing

The valve (1) has a throttle valve with a fixation plate (13) separating a hollow inner space of the throttle valve into head part and locking part. The locking part has a locking unit (15) to lock a radial arm (11) for immobilizing the throttle valve. The arm has an elongated attachment extending across an adjustable opening and is displaced vertically to engage or disengage the attachment of the head part in unlocked condition. The arm is locked with the attachment engaged in the head part in locked condition, where the attachment is arranged between a stopper and a counter-stopper (21). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a throttle valve (2) a method for implementing a quarter turn valve.
