A method for fabricating an electrode of a plasma display panel is provided to enhance light emitting efficiency and transmittance by removing an electrode from an upper substrate. A barrier rib forming process is performed to form a barrier rib(220) by forming a plurality of holes corresponding to a discharge space(201) on a ceramic sheet. Two electrodes(211,212) are formed on the barrier rib in order to form a closed curve at a constant interval in an upper side and a lower side of the barrier rib. The electrode forming process includes a process for forming the electrode for forming the closed curve by coating an electrode material on an inner wall surface of a processed hole of the ceramic sheet, a process for forming a dielectric layer on a surface of the electrode, and a process for laminating an insulating sheet having a hole corresponding to a discharge space between two ceramic sheets having the electrodes.
