APPARATUS FOR CLEANING PARTICULATE MATTER AND CHEMICAL CONTAMINANTS FROM HANDS AND ELASTOMERIC ARTICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost for cleaning required for elastomeric articles.;SOLUTION: A method for treating elastomeric articles comprises a step of sending the gas flow of a gaseous cleaning agent so that the gas flow comes into contact with elastomeric articles arranged in a place for supporting articles within a housing. The gaseous cleaning agent can cause particulate contaminants to be detached from the elastomeric articles and thus to flow together with the gas flow that passes through the elastomeric articles. A supply source of the gaseous cleaning agent comprises a spray source of the evaporated cleaning agent that flows into the housing and a weak ionization plasma source that is arranged near the article-supporting place within the housing for generating weakly ionized plasma in a surrounding atmosphere adjacent to the material-supporting place.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
