PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that intake and exhaust gas flow along an inner circumference surface of a valve seat easily separates when inner circumference surfaces of valve seats of an intake and an exhaust valve are machined using a plurality of kinds of square milling cutters with rotary center lines thereof matched with an axis of the valve seat.;SOLUTION: This method for machining the valve seats of the intake and the exhaust valve machining the inner circumference surfaces of the valve seats 20, 21 of the intake and the exhaust valve 22, 24 using the plurality of kinds of milling cutters and matching the rotary axis of the rotary milling cutters with the axis of the valve seats 20, 21, includes a step machining at least a part of the inner circumference surface of the valve seats 20, 21, for instance, a third surface 20c using at least one formed milling cutter having a contour of a cutting edge formed in a concave surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
