A waterproof or water-resistant membrane cover (1150) for the acoustic transducer array (1000) of a sodar system. The membrane (1150) is placed over each transducer of the array (1000). The membrane (1150) may be spaced from the array (1000), held in place with a structure such as a frame (1120).
