A system for inspecting wrong connection of a drain pipe using acoustic wave and an inspecting method using the same are provided to increase the accuracy and the reliability since the acoustic wave can pass through regardless of the kind of the medium. A system for inspecting wrong connection of a drain pipe comprises an acoustic wave generator(20), an acoustic wave detector(30), and a central processor(40). The acoustic wave generator is installed in one end of the drain pipe. The acoustic wave generator generates the acoustic wave in the drain pipe. The acoustic wave detector is installed at a plurality of other drain pipes in which it has error contact possibility. The acoustic wave detector detects the acoustic wave generated by the acoustic wave generator. The central processor determines the error contact using the acoustic wave detected by the acoustic wave detector.
