An automotive motor has an oil separator (1) for blow-by-gases under a cylinder head cover. The separator has a housing (2), a gas inlet (4) to the oil droplet separator and an outlet. The inlet is sub-divided into three zones, each containing a baffle plate (8, 9, 10), and separated from the adjacent baffle plate by a gap (11) in three or more planes (5, 6, 7).
