The separator has oil separator components manufactured separately from a base body (104) of a cylinder head cover (100), where the oil separator components exhibit a cyclone plate that is fixed to a base plate. The oil separator components are fixable to the base body of the cylinder head cover. The cyclone plate has two cyclones with cyclone axes that are aligned in horizontal in installed condition of the oil separator, where the cyclone axes are offset against each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cylinder head cover with an integrated oil separator.
