The method involves implementing a cooking process to be automated during feeding of a cooking product of predetermined cooking product type in a cooking area under simultaneous storage of two variables. A third variable that is characteristic for changing the feeding is determined after further request of a program. The energy application in the cooking product of the changing feeding is automatically adapted to the energy application in the cooking product of the predetermined feeding by providing the variables for receiving reproducible cooking results.
