PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control apparatus and a method of correcting torque ripple for correcting a harmonic torque ripple including a plurality of frequency components, and accurately determining the torque ripple of cogging and the like from a torque command. PSOLUTION: The motor control apparatus includes: a sampling determinator 9 for outputting a sampling execution command to a sampling unit 10 in accordance with an established sampling condition; and an averaging processor 13 for calculating an average Fourier coefficient aSBn/SBSP*/SP, bSBn/SBSP*/SP, from a plurality of Fourier coefficients aSBn/SB, bSBn/SBdetermined by using the corrected torque command TSBr/SBSP*/SPsampled at a plurality of motor positions PSBm/SB.
