PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of Shiga toxin 2e (Stx2e) or antibodies to Stx2e in an animal specimen by using the selective binding of Globotetraosylceramido (Gb4) to Shiga toxin2e (Stx2e).;SOLUTION: The method of detecting Shiga toxin2e (Stx2e) in the specimen includes a step of contacting the specimen to a carrier to which Globotetraosylceramido (Gb4) is fixed as a solid phase and a step of detecting the presence of the complex of Gb4 formed on the carrier by the contact and Stx2e in the specimen, using a labeled anti-Stx2e antibody or anti-Stx2e antibody and a labeled anti-immunoglobulin antibody binding thereto.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
