PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a location on an electronic map able to be designated in a three-dimensionally displayed electronic map.;SOLUTION: A map display device displays a three-dimensional virtual space VS three-dimensionally on a display screen DSP on the basis of electronic map data. On the display screen DSP, in the case that a designated point designated by a user is present in an area on the upper side of the axis ax of the display screen, it is designated as a point on the axis AX of the virtual space VS. In the case that the designated point is the point inside an area where a stereoscopic object is not present on the lower side of the axis ax of the display screen DSP, it is specified as a point on the ground surface G of the virtual space VS.
