A RADAR MAPPING DISPLAY SIMULATION AND PERFORMANCE RECORDING DEVICE

The apparatus described in this report simulates the essential display features of a fixed antenna radar mapping system. It is designed to record operator speed and accuracy in identifying various targets on strip-map display materials. Features of general interest include flexibility of application to a variety of problems involving similar materials, convenience and reliability of operation under conditions of extended use, and a high yield of data pertinent to performance. A number of structural and operating innovations have been incorporated and are described in detail for the benefit of those who may wish to employ them in their own research and develop¬ment programs.
