PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a charging amount of coal into a coke oven carbonization chamber which allows efficient charge of coal into the coke oven carbonization chamber by a simple method.;SOLUTION: The method comprises a leveling step for charging coal into the carbonization chamber and subsequently leveling with a leveler the upper layer of the charged coal, a surface shape-measuring step for measuring the surface shape of the coal after the leveling step, a charged amount-estimating step for estimating the amount of coal charged into the carbonization chamber from the surface shape of the coal measured by the surface shape-measuring step, and a charging amount-regulating step for regulating the following charging amount of coal into the carbonization chamber based on the estimated charged amount by the charged amount-estimating step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
