The present invention refers to a process for obtaining a raw extract of the Ebenopsis ebano (ebony) seed and the use thereof as a therapeutic agent. More particularly, the use of the extract refers to the application thereof as an antioxidant agent, antibiotic agent, antitumor agent and immunomodulatory agent. The process for obtaining said extract is performed by aqueous and metabolic extraction, thus providing extracts with similar properties.
