Described is an automated device for removing the peel of cactaceous fruits and the like, which is characterised in that it allows, by means of synchronized operations: (a) to receive cactaceous fruits or the like (78) by means of a hopper (2) that separates the flow into two conveyors (3), which include flexible flat belts (11), where the fruits are arranged between pushers (12) in a transversal manner with regard to the forward direction, a rotor with blades (29) being included above the conveyors (3) for releasing the fruit overflow; a rotor (35) with dented discs (36) is also located above the conveyor belts (11) for cutting the edges of the fruits, where said fruits (80) continue its travel over the conveyor belts (11) and are discharged in a fixed device (5) that change the direction of the fruits (80) and guide them in a vertical manner from the head or tail to a cavity, where the peel removal is performed by means of two clamps (52) and curved blades (54) with tooth (55), the fruit being pushed over said blades by means of a pneumatic cylinder (68); the discharge operation is performed when the tooth (55) have penetrated only the thickness of the fruit (80) peel and start to open the same in a symmetrical manner; the end of the opening process is completed with the separation of the edible fruit (82) from the peel (81) by actuating a vertical cylinder (70), which stem includes a pusher (73) that pushes the detaching fruit; where the detached fruit is collected and led to a channel collector (76) which discharges the edible fruits (82) in a transport or packing system.
